The Petite Guide to Summer Dresses: How to Actually Look Tall & Chic
Tuesday, July 14, 2026It's the peak of summer; that means it's the perfect time to dress up light! I used to be against halter dresses, but earlier this year I became really obsessed with them. Since I moved to the US during summertime, I decided to maximize the time to wear summer dress everyday. As a petite girl, I am quite particular with the summer dress I wear because I don't want to wear it for one time only. So, here is my simple guide to summer dresses!
1. A-line Mini Dress
This type of dress enhances our waistline and creates an hourglass silhouette. My ultimate pick!

2. Lightweight Material
When it comes to summer dresses, always opt for the lightest material. I am always a big fan of chiffon dresses. I have owned this dress for many years, and I still wear it until now. Yellow or butter yellow is the best pick for this material. Fyi, butter yellow is the most trending color this summer!

3. Delicate Print
Bold statement print will make us look shorter and voluminous. Since polka dots are popular these days, choose the delicate one.

4. Midi Dress + Classic Pumps
According to my experience, classic pumps never go wrong with any outfit. However, when they are paired with a midi dress, it gives a classy vibe!
