[REVIEW] Dear, Klairs - Gentle Black Facial Cleanser and Midnight Blue Calming Cream
Thursday, September 10, 2026This gentle cream instantly calms and soothes sensitive skin. One of the star ingredients includes Guaiazulene, which is a natural component extracted from chamomile oil with powerful calming effects. Centella Asiatica is another ingredient that is included in this calming cream that is often used for healing damaged skin and as an anti-inflammatory agent. Centella Asiatica in this calming cream hydrates the skin and relieves redness.
PACKAGING & TEXTURE:
Lightweight yet sturdy packaging with a safely sealed paper box. Both the cleanser and cream have a thick, creamy texture with no perfume scent (which is great).
RESULT:
As you can see in the picture on the left, my skin had some mild redness after wearing makeup all day. First, I cleansed my face using the Gentle Black Facial Cleanser. A little goes a long way, just add a bit of water to work up a rich foam! It's super gentle, doesn't sting my eyes at all, and rinses off easily without leaving any sticky residue. My skin felt so smooth afterward.
Next, I followed up with the Midnight Blue Calming Cream. I applied a small amount, which easily covered my whole face and neck. Despite its rich texture, it absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. The next morning, as you can see in the photo, my skin looks so calm and smooth, and the redness is completely gone!
I would say this duo is a perfect match for my night routine. If you're dealing with redness or a damaged skin barrier, Midnight Blue Calming Cream is a must-have!
